WEEK 6

Monday 20 April 2020

I slept 20 hours the past weekend. Usually I would feel guilty for spending half the weekend unconscious, but nowadays the weekend hours don’t feel so scarce.

Tuesday 21 April 2020

I’m feeling better after the sleep marathon. Sleep is foundational to how I feel during the day, so I have decided to re-instate the sleep rhythm I had before this corona fiasco. That said, it’s really tempting to stay in bed until the first event of the day. A colleague of mine actually worded it perfectly: "it takes some discipline". But it’s worth it.

Wednesday 22 April 2020

I bought a robot vacuum cleaner with mop feature. I always wanted a robot but couldn’t justify (to myself) spending money on a robot while I don’t have pets + am not home a lot and therefore don’t (have to) spend much time cleaning the house.

Yesterday I had an epiphany. I actually can justify purchasing a robot now, with two arguments:

  1. My house is way dirtier than it usually is because I'm home all the time;

  2. I won’t be able to go on vacation for the rest of the year, so I might as well take a holiday from cleaning.

Yay.

Thursday 23 April 2020

After having gone on walks twice a day every day for the past 5 weeks, I kinda sorta know my surroundings by now. Today I ventured out to what seemed like a patch of grass on Google Maps, about a 20-minute walk from my house, but it turned out to be a sheep meadow! It’s allowed to keep less than 1,5m distance to a sheep, right?

Sunday 25 April 2020

These long weekends are not helpful for keeping track of the days…
